I’m Suzanne Hale of Barking Needs, Clinical Canine Massage Therapy & Agility Training. Originally from the West Midlands, I moved away from city life in 2017 to live on a smallholding in rural Ceredigion, West Wales.

Following my relocation, I searched for a canine related career to complement my love of Agility and encompass my knowledge and understanding of dogs. Natalie Lenton had previously treated three of my dogs, so applying for the Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner Programme was an obvious path to take.

I’ve been involved with dog training, competing and judging since 2001, mainly through Agility, Good Citizens classes, Rally and Flyball. My experience (plus various qualifications, seminars and CPD courses) has given me chance to meet and appreciate a wide variety of breeds and temperaments.

After 2 years of in-depth training with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre, I am proud to be able to provide Clinical Canine Massage Therapy to the dogs of West Wales. Treatments are tailored to each client; based on the disciplines of Myofascial Release, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Remedial Sports massage, plus unique techniques from the clinically trialled Lenton Method™.

Massage can be beneficial to all types of dogs. In addition to rehabilitation of soft tissues injuries and pain management of orthopaedic conditions, massage can improve the comfort and mobility of senior dogs, support post-surgical rehabilitation and enhance the performance of canine athletes. It can improve the overall wellbeing of dogs of all ages and breeds.
